Notes

"Showbusiness" was recorded on the 18th and 19th August, 1994 at the Duchess of York in Leeds, and mixed a couple of weeks later at Woodlands Studio, Castleford. In response to threats from fascists who rang the venue to say they'd turn up mob-handed and trash it "if Chumbawamba play", Leeds Anti-Fascist Action organised two days of security both inside and outside the club. Fittingly, all money from both concerts (around £1500) was given to AFA.

Ironically it was on the day of the first gig that Home Secretary Michael Howard declared an end to a Suspect's Right to Silence. Shhh... It was also Vic's birthday. All snippets of radio, news, and talking were recorded over the two days. "Showbusiness!" is brought to you by the Doctor Quantize Clinic via One Little Indian records.
