After leaving a still nascent General Public to form Big Audio Dynamite, Mick Jones finally worked again with Ranking Roger. However, Radioactive Records didn't see this album fit to release. B.A.D. left the label and released the recording on their website, making it one of the first internet releases. The site was closed shortly after the files' release.

Definitely odd this never got a proper release by Radioactive -- Christ knows they released much worse than this. I've always been a B.A.D. fan, and while I think this album is far from their best, it's got some very nice moments on it. "Must Be The Music", for example, is one of the better B.A.D. songs Jones ever did, in my opinion. Maybe someday it'll get an official release somewhere. Would be nice to have this on vinyl so I can place it next to all of my other B.A.D. records!
Maybe the B.A.D. Entering A New Ride album was rejected because of the extremely poor album art? How can it be so bad? Its remarkable bad no pun. Agree with you on "Must be the Music" is a great B.A.D. song.
If anyone can get me a copy of this.. Let me know. Thx.
That's excellent thanks very much just got a copy after all these years
There is a link to download it on it's wikipedia page.
I have a "copy" of it without the bonus tracks if interested.
I don't know where to begin. So, I'll start by saying I've never listened to a B.A.D. release this much. When "Megatop" first hit, man, you couldn't get me off of the thing. Same with "Globe". And, the first LP...Fornication Under Consent of the King! But this one...I've lost nearly a whole week to it. Over and over and over...I'm still shaking my head as to why Radioactive didn't release it. I mean, it's to the point that I get sick of the whole thing. But then when I'm drifting to sleep, a song, usually "B.A.D. And The Night Time Ride", digs its hook in me. I am too tired to listen to it. When I wake up, I tell myself that I am NOT going listen to it. You know what happens next...I like the whole thing, even the mixes. Here are my faves at the moment, tho..."Nice And Easy" Man, that guitar SLAYS!"Sound Of The B.A.D." for its use of the drums of "Train In Vain""Bang Ice Geezer" for the constant change."...Night Time..." for that "Leader of the Pack" drum riff."Sound Of The Joe". The internet drum sample at the beginning. But, then the theme kicks in....KILLER!"Must Be The Music". Every song on the face of Earth should be this good!I could continue forever about the release. I'll finish, though, by saying that I stopped listening to The Stone Roses' first one for this and haven't looked back. THE STONE ROSES, mate! _is_ B.A.D.
